How Fresh Bellies Thrived Without a Shark Tank Deal

Fresh Bellies, a company specialising in organic, vegetable-based meals for toddlers, once appeared on Shark Tank seeking investment. Founder Saskia Sorrosa pitched her business, which focuses on nutrition-rich foods without added sugars or artificial ingredients. Despite strong sales and a growing presence in major retailers, none of the Sharks made an offer. Saskia Sorrosa launched Fresh Bellies to help parents provide healthier meals for young children. The company’s products—ranging from Mango and Strawberry to Pepperlicious and Shroomtastic—are all plant-based, paleo-friendly, and 100% organic. Flavours draw inspiration from Latin American herbs and spices, ensuring bold yet natural tastes.

On *Shark Tank*, Sorrosa asked for $275,000 in exchange for 5% of the company, valuing it at $5.5 million. At the time, Fresh Bellies had already made $1 million in sales within its first six months. The Sharks, however, declined to invest. Today, Fresh Bellies remains a thriving business. Its products are sold in over 9,000 stores, including Walmart and Kroger, with annual revenue exceeding $6 million. The brand also offers a line of healthy foods for adults, maintaining the same commitment to organic, non-GMO ingredients.

Fresh Bellies continues to expand without Shark Tank backing. The company’s focus on clean, flavourful meals for children and adults has secured its place in major retailers. With steady growth and a loyal customer base, it remains a key player in the organic food market.
