BD India and HOPE Foundation renew partnership to upskill 320 more youth in East Delhi
BD India/South Asia has renewed its partnership with the HOPE Foundation for the ninth year. The collaboration focuses on upskilling young adults in East Delhi through vocational training. BD is a major global medical technology firm known for improving healthcare delivery and access. Since 2018, the partnership has trained over 2200 youth from low socioeconomic backgrounds. More than 80% of these students have secured employment after completing the courses. The programmes include Nursing Assistant and Tally training, along with Advanced Excel and SQL.
The Nursing Assistant and Tally courses run simultaneously for three months. Nursing Assistant students receive extra on-the-job training. In the eighth year alone, 264 youth graduated from these programmes.
KS. Wungchipem, Director of Skill Development at HOPE Foundation, shared that over 1750 participants have found jobs through the initiative. Atul Grover, Managing Director of BD India/South Asia, highlighted the partnership’s role in boosting employability and confidence among young people. For the coming year, both organisations plan to train 320 more youth. The renewed partnership will continue to offer free vocational training in East Delhi. The goal remains to equip young adults with practical skills for better job prospects. BD’s long-term commitment supports both education and healthcare improvement in the region.
