Gifhorn's Addiction Awareness Day Offers Support and Insight on 1 July
The Addiction Services Task Force will host an information day on 1 July 2023. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and marks part of Alcohol Awareness Week, encouraging open discussions about addiction. The gathering will take place at the Addiction and Drug Counseling Center in Gifhorn’s Speicherhof. The address is Steinweg 10. Inside, visitors can watch short films about various addiction disorders and enjoy alcohol-free cocktails.
An information booth will be positioned outside the centre’s entrance. Attendees can also try on drunk goggles, which simulate the effects of alcohol. Specialists will be on hand to provide details about support services and answer questions.
The day is open to anyone touched by addiction, their families and friends, partner organisations, and the general public. The event offers a chance to learn about addiction support and engage with experts. It aims to raise awareness and provide practical information in a welcoming setting. All activities are free and accessible to interested visitors.
