Russian Woman in Coma After Suspected Wine Poisoning in Bali
A young woman from Sochi is fighting for her life in a Bali hospital after a suspected alcohol poisoning incident. Anna, now in a coma, was rushed to medical care after drinking locally popular wine. Her condition remains critical as doctors assess the damage. Anna consumed two glasses of wine before becoming violently ill. She suffered vomiting, seizures during the journey to hospital, and eventually lost consciousness. Her pupils no longer respond to light, and she is kept alive by a ventilator.
Tests for methanol poisoning have so far returned negative results, though friends remain suspicious. A partially consumed bottle of the same wine has been kept for further analysis. Meanwhile, a Russian-speaking doctor has been found to assist with her care.
Anna’s partner has stayed by her side, managing all medical and logistical arrangements. Friends are now searching for an EEG machine to evaluate her brain activity. Her 75-year-old mother is even prepared to sell her apartment to cover the mounting costs of treatment. Anna’s prognosis is still uncertain as doctors continue their assessments. The search for answers and proper medical equipment carries on. Her family and friends are doing everything possible to support her recovery.
