10X Genomics stock climbs 3.8% on Cleveland Clinic cancer research deal

Shares of 10X Genomics rose by 3.8% after the company announced a research partnership with Cleveland Clinic. The collaboration will focus on identifying biomarkers for bladder cancer treatments. It forms part of the firm’s wider effort to work with leading research institutions. The study will analyse tumour samples from patients with advanced bladder cancer. Researchers aim to assess how well individuals respond to antibody-drug conjugate therapies. They will use 10X Genomics’ technologies, including Flex Apex, Xenium, and Atera platforms.

The investigation combines single-cell transcriptomic profiling, spatial gene expression analysis, and protein quantification. Dr Timothy Chan, head of Cleveland Clinic’s Department of Cancer Sciences, called the project 'promising work'. No revenue forecasts or commercial timelines have been set for the partnership.

10X Genomics has a market value of around $4.03 billion. Over the past three months, company insiders sold $1.8 million worth of shares, with no recorded purchases. The deal strengthens ties between 10X Genomics and major research centres. It may support the development of future diagnostic products. The share price increase reflects investor interest in the collaboration’s potential.
