Primorye Territory unveils 14 new outdoor gyms by September 1
The Primorye Territory is expanding its outdoor sports facilities with 14 new sites set to open by September 1. Governor Oleg Kozhemyako has highlighted the importance of mass sports and accessible infrastructure for the region. The first facility of this kind was unveiled in May. The new outdoor gyms will be spread across key cities, including the regional capital, Artyom, Ussuriysk, and Nakhodka. Vladivostok alone will host eight fitness zones, with locations such as Patrokl, the FEFU campus, and Kirov Street. These sites are placed in residential areas and busy urban spots to ensure easy access for residents.
The equipment is built for outdoor use, featuring modern designs, ergonomic structures, and adjustable resistance for all fitness levels. Anti-corrosion coatings also make the machines durable in the region’s harsh climate. Sberbank’s Primorsky Branch, led by Sergey Yurchenko, is supporting the project as part of its broader investment in social infrastructure in Primorsky Krai. By early September, all 14 outdoor sports facilities will be operational. The initiative aims to provide accessible workout spaces for people of all ages and abilities. Local authorities and financial partners see this as a step towards promoting healthier lifestyles across the territory.
