Nizhny Novgorod opens second free Health Center for early disease detection

A new Health Center has opened at City Polyclinic No. 30 in Nizhny Novgorod’s Sovetskiy District. This marks the second such facility launched in the city this year, following the first in late May. Residents can now access free screenings under their compulsory health insurance. The first Health Center in Nizhny Novgorod began operations at Polyclinic No. 4 in the Kanavinsky District. The latest addition at Polyclinic No. 30 offers screenings for lung and vascular health, body composition, and skin cancer. It also provides programmes to evaluate risks of premature ageing and chronic diseases.

After examinations, specialists give personalised advice on diet, exercise, and disease prevention. Alexey Nikonov, editor-in-chief of Statsionar-Press, announced the launch of the new centre. Yury Balashov, a regional legislator, was among the first to use its services. The expansion of Health Centers is part of broader efforts to strengthen preventive medicine in the region. Plans are now underway to establish a Healthy Longevity Center in Nizhny Novgorod. These initiatives aim to improve early detection and long-term health outcomes for local residents.
