The University of Colorado is hiring an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) for its Virtual Primary Care Practice. The role focuses on delivering full-spectrum virtual care to adult patients. The position comes with a comprehensive benefits package and is part of the university’s Division of General Internal Medicine. The Division of General Internal Medicine was founded in 1977. It aims to lead in patient care, medical education, and health services research. The APP will provide virtual care, including chronic disease management, urgent care, hospital follow-ups, and preventative services.
The role involves evaluating, diagnosing, prescribing, and educating patients. Collaboration with other departments, such as pharmacy, is required to ensure high-quality virtual care. Depending on practice needs, some in-clinic work in the Denver Metro area may be necessary.
The Virtual Primary Care Practice supports CU clinics with same-day virtual appointments. It primarily serves empaneled patients through remote consultations. The APP must complete thorough assessments and maintain accurate medical records.
Minimum qualifications for the Instructor role include a Master’s degree, relevant licences, board certification or eligibility, and two years of primary care experience. For the Senior Instructor role, three years of experience is required. The University of Colorado offers a strong benefits package for this position. It includes medical, dental, retirement, paid time off, tuition support, and an ECO Pass. The role is designed to expand access to primary care through virtual services.
