Panvel to honor organ donation champions at 12th Dindi ceremony on July 2

The Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC) and DOST will host a felicitation and flag-off ceremony for the 12th Organ Donation and Health Services Dindi. The event is scheduled for July 2, 2026, and aims to raise awareness about organ donation and healthcare. Organisers have urged citizens to attend in large numbers. The ceremony will take place at the Adya Krantiveer Vasudev Balwant Phadke Auditorium in Panvel. It will run from 10 am to 2 pm.

Several dignitaries will receive the Dindi Award, including Panvel Mayor Nitin Patil and K. C. Luthia, the former Director General of Health Services for Maharashtra. Panvel MLA Prashant Thakur will serve as the chief guest, while Mangesh Chitale will preside over the event. Ramdas Maharaj More, former president of the Sant Shri Tukaram Maharaj Sansthan, will deliver the keynote address.

Ali Mudabbir, Chairman of White Lotus International Hospital, and Milind Hirve will attend as special guests. The initiative seeks to promote organ donation awareness, positive healthcare messages, and social responsibility through community involvement during the annual pilgrimage. The event will honour key figures and highlight the importance of organ donation. It will also encourage public participation in health and social causes. The ceremony marks a significant step in fostering community engagement for healthcare awareness.
