Magadan's New 50-Bed Rehabilitation Centre Opens in July 2023
A new 50-bed multidisciplinary rehabilitation centre in Magadan is nearing completion. It forms part of a wider effort to revitalise the Gorokhotskoye Field area. The facility is scheduled to open in July 2023. The medical complex comprises three interconnected buildings with a shared technical floor. Inside, patients will have access to modern gyms, kinesio- and locomotion therapy rooms, and a specialised pool with an adjustable floor for water therapy. The centre will also include medical and social rehabilitation units, physiotherapy and thermotherapy departments, ergotherapy rooms, and psychological and educational support services.
Major interior work has finished. Final touches, furniture installation, and medical equipment delivery are now complete. A multidisciplinary team of therapists, neurologists, and rehabilitation specialists will provide patient care. The centre is part of a broader revitalisation plan for Gorokhotskoye Field. This includes new housing, social infrastructure, and upgrades to nearly 30 hectares of public space. The project aims to improve healthcare and community facilities in Magadan.
