Khargone panchayat funds dharamshala upgrades as health crisis looms nearby

Gram Panchayat Sameda in Khargone has approved funds for a new boundary wall at Rajput Dharamshala. The project was inaugurated during a Bhoomi Pujan ceremony by District Panchayat President Anubai Tanwar. Meanwhile, local MLA Sachin Yadav has raised concerns over the lack of anti-rabies injections at Kasrawad Community Health Centre. The panchayat sanctioned Rs 6.79 lakh for the boundary wall construction. An additional Rs 5 lakh was allocated for installing paver blocks within the dharamshala complex. During the ceremony, Anubai Tanwar commended the site’s cleanliness and organisation.

This marks the first time a local panchayat has funded a boundary wall for a community dharamshala. BJP leaders Prahlad Rathore and Pawan Rathore later praised the local body’s initiative.

Separately, MLA Sachin Yadav wrote to the Khargone Collector about the urgent need for anti-rabies injections. Frequent animal bites in Kasrawad make these injections essential. Yadav called the medicine life-saving and warned that its absence causes severe difficulties for patients and their families. The boundary wall and paver block projects at Rajput Dharamshala are now underway. At the same time, authorities face pressure to address the shortage of critical medical supplies. The panchayat’s decision sets a precedent for funding community facilities while health concerns remain unresolved.
