Saxony-Anhalt's 7th Heart Week kicks off with public action day on June 15

The 7th Saxony-Anhalt Heart Week is set to begin on June 15, 2026. A public action day will mark the start of the event, with activities planned on the market square. The week will be officially launched by Petra Grimm-Benne, the state’s Minister for Labor, Social Affairs, Health, and Equality. The market square will host the public action day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

At 1 p.m., Katharina Brederlow, Deputy Mayor for Education and Social Affairs, will formally open the event. The Heart Week aims to raise awareness through public engagement. Activities will run throughout the day on the market square. Officials will lead the proceedings at the designated times.
