A violent incident occurred on Tuesday evening at Offenbach’s Starkenburgring. A heavily intoxicated man allegedly attacked emergency personnel and damaged an ambulance during a rescue operation. The 47-year-old man was being taken to hospital for treatment when he started throwing objects inside the vehicle. He also lashed out violently with his feet, striking a 46-year-old paramedic. The paramedic sustained minor injuries as a result.
The man’s actions caused around €3,000 in damage to the ambulance’s interior. Police quickly intervened, taking him into custody. He was then transferred to a specialised medical facility for further assessment.
Authorities have since launched an investigation. The man now faces charges for assaulting emergency workers and criminal damage to property. The paramedic received treatment for minor injuries. The ambulance required repairs due to the extensive damage. The suspect remains in custody while the investigation continues.
