Magadan study reveals Omega-3 fish oil boosts teenage mental and physical health

A recent study in Magadan has highlighted the benefits of Omega-3 fish oil for teenage well-being. Researchers found that a 1.5-month course of Nord Mile RTG fish oil Kids led to significant improvements in adolescents' health. The study was carried out by the Arctic Research Center of the Far Eastern Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The research showed that teenagers experienced reduced stress, better concentration, and improved sleep after taking the supplement. The team behind the study recommended that adolescents in the Far North use Magadan-produced Omega-3 supplements during key periods.

The Omega-Si plant in Magadan produces refined fish oil and re-esterified triglycerides from wild-caught fish. Its annual capacity includes 2,000 tons of refined fish oil and up to 200 tons of re-esterified triglycerides.

Based on the findings, the researchers proposed launching a regional programme called 'Adaptation of Northern Adolescents'. The initiative aims to support students' physical and mental resilience. Petr Golubovsky, a deputy of the Magadan Regional Duma, has endorsed the study and is pushing for its adoption. Golubovsky is now preparing an appeal to the regional government to secure funding for the programme in next year’s budget. The study’s results suggest that Omega-3 supplementation could play a key role in improving adolescent health in the region. The proposal aligns with the plant’s production capabilities and the researchers’ recommendations.
