Boy survives ruptured spleen after swing fall thanks to emergency surgery

A young boy has been discharged from Usinsk Central District Hospital after surviving a severe injury. He suffered a ruptured spleen following a fall from a swing, which led to life-threatening internal bleeding. The incident began when the boy fell and sustained a ruptured spleen. His condition worsened quickly due to the internal bleeding. An emergency surgical team acted fast to perform a life-saving operation to remove the spleen.

The team included surgeon Alexander Petrov, nurse Svetlana Bogatyreva, anesthesiologist Navruzbek Sarakhanov, and ICU nurse Olga Popukalova. After surgery, the boy was moved to the intensive care unit for close monitoring. The hospital’s coordinated departments, including the ICU and emergency services, ensured a rapid response.
