Free Course Teaches Climate-Friendly Cooking in Neuwied District
Neuwied District Adult Education Center is running a free course on climate-friendly cooking. The session, titled 'Climate-Friendly Cooking', will take place on October 16 at the ASL in Linkenbach. It begins at 5 p.m. and focuses on sustainable kitchen practices. The course will be taught by Brigitte Lange, a qualified nutrition and home economics specialist. Janine Sieben, the district’s climate protection manager, will assist her in leading the session.
Participants will explore simple recipes using regional and seasonal ingredients. The lessons will also cover ways to reduce meat and fish consumption, shorten cooking times, and use energy-efficient methods. Attendees will pay a €7 fee directly to Lange for the ingredients used during the class. The course aims to help people adopt more sustainable habits in their daily cooking. By the end, participants will have practical skills for preparing varied, natural, and eco-friendly meals. The event is open to all, with only the ingredient fee required.
