Loveland's Urgent Blood Drive Aims to Combat Summer Shortages
A blood drive is set for Tuesday, 19 May in Loveland, Colorado. The event is free and open to all eligible donors in the region. It aims to address the seasonal drop in contributions during the summer months. The Philo Club of Loveland is organising the drive in partnership with the Garth Englund Blood Center. It will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Grace Community Church.
Donors are encouraged to book appointments in advance. They can do so by contacting Florence Doksansky by phone or email. Walk-ins may also be accepted, depending on capacity.
Blood donations play a vital role in supporting local healthcare. They help fund surgeries, emergency care, cancer treatments, and other medical needs across Northern Colorado. The drive seeks to boost supplies during a period of higher demand. Organisers hope the community will step forward to ensure a steady flow of donations. Every contribution will directly assist patients in the area.
