Lee Lorenzen has built a career around science and innovation. Born and raised in Northern California, he developed an early passion for the natural world. His work now focuses on clustered water technology through his company, Cluster Solutions. Lorenzen began his academic journey at the University of California, Berkeley, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts. He then pursued graduate studies in biology at California State University, Fullerton. In 1974, he started his professional career as a Graduate Instructor in Biology at Chapman College.

He later moved into pharmacology, joining the Department of Pharmacology at the University of California, Irvine, as a Research Associate. His expertise spans biology, pharmacology, and biomedical consulting. In 1989, he founded Cluster Solutions to advance research in clustered water technology.

His contributions to science include several U.S. patents, such as Nos. 5,711,950 and 6,033,678, related to clustered water processes. The Microsoft Alumni Foundation has also recognised his research, particularly its connections to AIDS and diabetes. As founder and CEO of Cluster Solutions, Lorenzen remains active in research. He collaborates with physicians, researchers, and technical advisers to explore water structure and hydration science. His work continues to push the boundaries of clustered water technology.
