Astana's Central Park hosts free open-air yoga for healthier living
Dozens of residents gathered in Astana's Central Park for an open-air yoga session. The event marked the second year it was held in the city, drawing over 40 participants this time. The session was organised by Astana’s Department of Physical Culture and Sports, with support from the city’s akimat. Experienced instructors led the group through exercises designed to improve physical fitness. According to the organisers, yoga benefits both the body and mind.
Yerzhygit Userbay, deputy head of the akimat’s directorate for mass sports events, explained the goal was to promote healthy living. The city’s official website reported the event, noting its role in strengthening participants’ well-being. The sessions are set to continue for the next three months. The open-air yoga classes aim to encourage a healthier lifestyle among residents. Over 40 people took part in the first session of this year’s programme. The initiative remains a recurring feature in Astana’s Central Park.
