India's First Doctor-Led Brain Wellness Program for Seniors Launches Pilot
India’s first doctor-led brain wellness programme for seniors has been launched. ActiveMind Daily is designed to fit the rhythms of Indian family life and requires no login or screen time from older adults. The initiative aims to address a gap in everyday elder care by focusing on brain health prevention. The programme is led by Dr. Sweta Sahu, a physician and researcher with experience at Johns Hopkins, the Cleveland Clinic, and the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is joined by co-founder Dr. Sri Sravya Thungathurthi, a physician specialising in healthy ageing and preventive medicine.
ActiveMind Daily follows evidence-based guidance from the World Health Organization and the National Institute on Ageing. Each day, it delivers one short activity targeting memory, language, attention, reflection, and family connection.
A 10-day pilot for founding families is now open. It is limited to 50 families, who can register for free via the programme’s website at activeminddaily.in/check. Interested participants can also access a 30-second brain wellness check and sample activities. The pilot offers a chance for families to test the programme’s approach. With India’s elderly population growing, ActiveMind Daily provides a structured way to support brain health. Registration for the trial remains open until the 50-family limit is reached.
