The Active Longevity Center in Astana has expanded significantly since its launch in 2021. It now operates across all six districts of the city, with its total branch area exceeding 6,000 square metres. The initiative began through public activists and veterans, later gaining support from Maslikhat deputies. The centre was founded in 2021 after local activists and veterans pushed for its creation. Maslikhat deputies, including Altynshash Tabuldina, later backed the project. Recently, Tabuldina met with pensioners in the Saryarka district to discuss the centre’s role and broader social support for older adults.

Since 2022, around 20,000 residents have used its services, with daily visits surpassing 3,000. In the Yesil district alone, over 5,000 people have benefited, while nearly 4,000 have done so in Saryarka. The centre’s branches ensure easy access for seniors across Astana.

Programmes on offer include rehabilitative gymnastics, Nordic walking, yoga, dance, and wellness exercises. IT literacy classes are also popular, teaching smartphone use and access to government services. Additional activities feature clubs like 'Silver Volunteers', intellectual games, and gadget training. The centre’s work has delivered measurable benefits. It improves physical health, reduces anxiety, and combats loneliness among seniors. It also eases pressure on healthcare services and supports older adults in maintaining independence. Its widespread reach and varied programmes continue to meet growing demand.
