Sharp's Karada Mate Watch debuts with advanced health tracking and $370 price tag

Sharp has entered the wearable tech market with its first smartwatch, the Karada Mate Watch. The device is set to hit shelves on 9 July, priced at around $370. It promises advanced health and fitness tracking in a compact design. The Karada Mate Watch features a 1.32-inch OLED screen protected by Gorilla Glass 5. It includes sensors for blood oxygen, skin temperature, and hydration, with full water and dust resistance. A bioelectrical impedance sensor and HEALBE’s FLOW technology power its health monitoring.

The watch tracks calories consumed and fluids in real time. It calculates the caloric value of food and compares it with physical activity for a daily balance. Audio alerts remind users when to drink water.

The display adjusts to daily routines, showing sleep analytics, heart rate, step count, and weather updates. Sharp is also launching a premium mobile app with the device, offering professional nutritionist advice. The Karada Mate Watch will be available from 9 July for approximately $370. Its combination of health tracking, durability, and smart features aims to appeal to fitness-focused users. The accompanying app adds expert guidance to its functionality.
