Regional Medical Center unites DAISY and ROSE Awards in historic ceremony
Regional Medical Center held its first combined DAISY and ROSE Awards Ceremony recently. The event recognised outstanding contributions in patient care and operational support among healthcare staff. Both awards celebrate employees nominated by patients, families, and colleagues. RMC has a long history of honouring nursing staff with the DAISY Award. This year, Nurse Practitioner Denise Lympus received the accolade for her dedication to patient care. The ROSE Award, created to acknowledge non-nursing employees, was presented to Physical Therapist Abbie Wooten for her service excellence.
The ceremony highlighted the commitment of all nominees to maintaining high standards in healthcare. A full recording of the event is now available on RMC’s official YouTube channel. Details about the awards and how to submit nominations are published on the hospital’s website. The combined ceremony marked a new tradition for RMC. It brought together recognition for both nursing and non-nursing staff under one event. The hospital continues to encourage nominations from the community for future awards.
