01Health raises £11.2M to revolutionize specialist healthcare access globally
01Health has secured £11.2 million in a Series A funding round to expand its healthcare platform. The investment will support its growth in the UK and its move into the US market. The company aims to make specialist care more widely available through local clinics. Dr Sonia Szamocki, a former A&E doctor, established 01Health in 2022. Her goal was to improve access to advanced medical treatments by integrating specialist care into general practitioner networks. The platform has already shown success in dental care through partnerships with 32Co and Aerox Health.
The funding round was led by Gresham House Ventures, with contributions from Balderton Capital, Eka Ventures, and Wavemaker360. Angels, including Nicolas Cary, co-founder of Blockchain.com, also joined the investment. Gresham House Ventures highlighted the company’s scalable model as a key reason for its support.
01Health has now appointed a Head of US Commercial Operations to oversee its American expansion. The new investment will help launch the platform in the UK and introduce it to the US. For the first time, practices, practice groups, and dental service organisations will be able to licence its technology. The £11.2 million funding will enable 01Health to roll out its platform across the UK and enter the US. The technology is designed to make high-quality healthcare accessible regardless of location. The company’s next phase focuses on scaling its specialist-led care model through local networks.
