Mandsaur Hospital to Get Life-Saving Mammography Machine by June
The District Hospital in Mandsaur will soon have a new mammography machine. The equipment, worth around Rs 45 lakh, aims to improve breast cancer detection in the region. Rotary Club officials say it will boost healthcare access for local women. The machine is being installed with support from the Rotary Club of Mandsaur and the family of social worker Pradeep Ganediwal. It honours the memory of late Ranchhod Prasad Ganediwal. District Collector Aditi Garg has already allocated space and technical work has started.
The new facility will allow early detection of breast cancer. This means doctors can begin treatment sooner for thousands of women in the district. Currently, many travel to Indore, Ujjain, or Udaipur for such tests. Once operational, the service will remove this need.
The Ganediwal family has also funded a modern cardiac ambulance. This project will strengthen emergency healthcare in the area. Both initiatives are expected to start by the end of June. The mammography machine will provide advanced screening within Mandsaur. It will reduce travel time for patients and support timely medical care. The facility is part of broader efforts to upgrade local healthcare services.
