Magadan's 'Safe Summer' Event Teaches Kids Road Safety and Healthy Habits
A safety awareness event took place at Magadan's Lyceum No. 14 as part of the regional 'Safe Summer' campaign. The session aimed to teach children about road safety, healthy living, and avoiding harmful habits. Representatives from traffic police, the regional Drug Control Directorate of the Interior Ministry (UNK), the Emergency Ministry, and the 'Yunost' Youth Center attended the event. Children engaged with a 'Safety Lab' mobile station, where they solved riddles and reviewed road signs.
Traffic police also staged a live demonstration of a patrol car. Kids were invited to explore its interior and learn about its functions. Major Svetlana Dugayeva from UNK spoke to the students about the dangers of drug use and introduced the 'Time of the INdependent' campaign. The event provided practical lessons on road rules and healthy lifestyles. Organisers hope the activities will help children stay safe and make informed choices during the summer months.
