Total Nutrition Inc. has issued a recall for two of its TNVitamins organic moringa products. The supplements were sold on major platforms including Amazon, Walmart, Target, and TikTok Shop. The action comes after potential salmonella contamination was detected in specific batches. The recalled items are 100% Organic Moringa 1,200 mg Capsules and 100% Organic Moringa Powder. The capsules come in a white bottle with 90 capsules, marked with Product No. AB9917, Lot 2800, and an expiration date of February 2028. The powder is sold in a white HDPE jar containing 96 grams, with Product No. AB9904, Lot 2782, and an expiration date of May 2028.
Only products with these exact lot numbers are affected. The supplements were distributed nationwide through major retailers and the company’s website.
Salmonella can cause severe infections, particularly in young children, older adults, and those with weakened immune systems. Symptoms include fever, diarrhoea, nausea, vomiting, and abdominal pain. Consumers in possession of the recalled moringa products should stop using them immediately. The company advises disposing of the items to prevent any risk of illness. No other products or lot numbers are included in this recall.
