Zackat Labs Unveils W3 Wearable for Real-Time Worker Safety Monitoring

Zackat Labs has introduced a new connected safety platform featuring the W3 wearable and a gas monitor. The system aims to improve worker safety across multiple industries by tracking vital health signals and environmental hazards. The W3 platform includes a wearable device that monitors core body temperature, heart rate variability, and other physiological signals. It also pairs with a single- or four-gas monitor via Bluetooth to detect dangerous gas exposure. Alerts for potential health risks are sent directly to supervisors’ phones and the W3 dashboard through a connected application.

AT&T provides secure cellular IoT connectivity for the platform, managed via AT&T Control Center. This enables near real-time data transmission, ensuring rapid response to emergencies. RCW Energy Services already uses the W3 to protect its technicians from heat stress and other risks.

Brent Barrs, VP of sales at Zackat Labs, described the platform as a major advancement in worker health and safety. The company believes the W3 and its gas monitor will set new benchmarks for safety standards in various sectors. The W3 platform is now available, with RCW Energy Services among its early adopters. Its combination of physiological tracking and gas detection offers enhanced protection for workers. Supervisors receive immediate alerts, allowing quicker intervention in hazardous situations.
