Actor Robert Carradine, best known for his roles in Revenge of the Nerds, The Longhorns, and Lizzie McGuire, has died at the age of 71. His family confirmed the news in a statement shared with Deadline.
Carradine built a career spanning decades, appearing in over 50 film and television projects. His breakout role came in The Longhorns (1980), where he starred alongside his brothers David and Keith. But he became a household name as Lewis Skolnick in Revenge of the Nerds (1984) and its sequels.
Beyond comedy, he took on action and drama roles in films like The Big Red One (1980), Escape from L.A. (1996), and Ghosts of Mars (2001). A later generation recognised him as Sam McGuire, the father in Disney's Lizzie McGuire (2001–2004) and its 2003 film adaptation.
