New Children's Book Turns Healthy Eating Into a Magical Food Adventure

A new interactive children's book is helping young readers explore healthy eating in a fun and engaging way. "My Food Adventure: The Magical Journey to the Rainbow Bite" introduces fruits and vegetables through storytelling, puzzles, and hands-on activities. Written by nutrition consultant Yvonne Leven-Pohl, the book aims to encourage children to try new foods from an early age.

The book follows characters like Karlie Potato, Rudy Radish, Ella Strawberry, and Oscar Orange as they guide children on a colourful journey. Along the way, kids learn about the benefits of different foods while completing tasting exercises, drawing, and sharing their preferences. The ultimate reward is discovering the Rainbow Bite—a magical flavour that appears when they dare to try something new.

Designed for children aged three and up, the book can be enjoyed with parental support. It tackles common challenges, such as reluctance to eat vegetables like tomatoes, radishes, or Brussels sprouts, by making food exploration playful. Activities include puzzles, taste tests, and creative tasks to build confidence around eating.

Since its release, the book has been published in eight languages: English, German, Spanish, French, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, and Polish. Five more adaptations—Arabic, Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, and Hindi—are set to launch by the end of 2026. Readers can find it at Kaiser Eck bookstore in Viersen or order online. The ISBN is 9798299259674, and more details are available at www.ernaehrungszauber.de.

Leven-Pohl's approach focuses on fostering a positive relationship with food early in life. The book's interactive methods and multilingual reach aim to make healthy eating accessible and enjoyable for young children. With more translations on the way, its playful lessons could soon inspire kids worldwide.
