From April 6 to 8, the Nizhny Novgorod Region will once again take part in the large-scale all-Russian campaign "Be Sure! Be Healthy!" During these days, residents will have the opportunity to check the accuracy of their home blood pressure monitors for free at designated testing sites in Nizhny Novgorod, Dzerzhinsk, Arzamas, and Pavlovo. The event coincides with World Health Day, celebrated annually on April 7.

The national campaign has been organized by Russia's Federal Agency for Technical Regulation and Metrology (Rosstandart) since 2018. Over the years, more than 160,000 devices have been tested. In the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the initiative is being carried out by the Nizhny Novgorod Center for Standardization, Metrology, and Testing (a Rosstandart affiliate), with support from the Nizhny Novgorod regional government and the Nizhny Novgorod City Duma.

The key objective of the campaign is to raise public awareness about the importance of accurate measurements in everyday life. Last year, the Nizhny Novgorod Region led the nation in participation, with residents testing nearly 6,000 home blood pressure monitors—a 65% increase compared to 2023.

During the campaign, specialists from the Nizhny Novgorod CSM will verify the performance of household blood pressure monitors and provide recommendations on their proper use.

All participants will receive informational leaflets on correct blood pressure measurement techniques, while accurate devices will be marked with a special "I'm Accurate!" sticker indicating the inspection date—a quality assurance seal for medical equipment.

Testing sites will operate from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM (some from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM). In Nizhny Novgorod, checks will be available at local community centers and the reception office of City Duma Chairman Yevgeny Chintsov. In other cities across the region, residents can visit branches of the Nizhny Novgorod CSM and other public venues.

For inquiries about the campaign, a hotline is available at 8 (800) 200-22-14 (open 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM).
