Yakutsk's new SMART clinic transforms healthcare with cutting-edge tech and expanded access
Yakutsk’s healthcare system received a major boost with the opening of a new SMART outpatient clinic on 24 November 2022. The state-of-the-art facility, spanning over 8,800 square meters, aims to serve 55,000 registered patients and improve medical access in the region. The clinic was developed under a public-private partnership between the regional government and the VIS Group. Gazprombank contributed 60% of the project’s funding, ensuring its completion. The VIS Group will also oversee maintenance of the building’s engineering systems until 2030.
The facility is equipped with advanced technology, including four elevators, climate control, and modern security systems. It can accommodate up to 600 patient visits per shift. Inside, the clinic houses adult and pediatric outpatient departments, a women’s health centre, and diagnostic and therapeutic units. Additional services include a laboratory, radiology and rehabilitation departments, an urgent care room, a day hospital, and a call centre.
An emergency medical substation is set to begin operations on-site starting tomorrow, further expanding the clinic’s capabilities. The new clinic marks a significant upgrade for Yakutsk’s healthcare infrastructure. With its expanded capacity and modern facilities, it will provide better medical services to thousands of residents. The project also sets a precedent for future public-private partnerships in the region.
