A three-year-old child in Primorsky Krai was rushed to hospital after choking on a peanut. The incident quickly turned serious as the child's condition worsened over several hours, leading to emergency medical intervention. The child initially coughed but appeared to recover, breathing normally after the choking episode. However, by evening, their health declined rapidly, with weakness, shortness of breath, and wheezing setting in.

An ambulance crew transported the child to Spassk City Hospital, where doctors discovered a large peanut fragment stuck in the bronchus. The piece had swollen, causing an inflammatory reaction that blocked the airway. An endoscopist from Primorsky Regional Children's Clinical Hospital No. 1 was called in urgently. Under general anaesthesia, an emergency endoscopy successfully removed the peanut fragment from the child's airway.

The procedure was successful, and the child is now in stable condition. Doctors confirm there is no longer any threat to their life. The young patient remains under observation while recovering.
