St. Luke's Jerome Unveils Expanded Therapy Space for Patient Recovery

St. Luke’s Jerome has opened a larger therapy area for patients recovering strength and mobility. The expansion aims to help those preparing to return home after treatment. A ribbon-cutting ceremony marked the official opening on Tuesday, April 28, 2026. The project grew from ideas proposed by occupational therapist Jason Urry. His suggestions shaped the design of the new space, which now includes specialised equipment. During the opening, Urry demonstrated some of the tools available for patient rehabilitation.

Chief Operating Officer Nancy Hicks led the ribbon-cutting event. Therapists like Urry and colleague Mike Sawyer will use the expanded area to support more patients. The focus remains on improving mobility and independence before discharge.

The new therapy space provides more room and resources for recovery. Patients will now have better access to equipment and expert support. The expansion reflects St. Luke’s commitment to enhancing rehabilitation services.
