Regensburg's free outdoor fitness program expands for 2026 with new workouts
Regensburg’s popular free outdoor fitness program, Regensburg Goes Fit, will return in 2026 with expanded activities. The initiative offers sessions at two locations—Oberer Wörth and Burgweinting—with no registration needed for participants. At Oberer Wörth, the program runs for eight Sundays from June 7 to July 26, 2026. A new addition this year is Cross Athletics, led by Lukas Baumann at 5:00 PM each Sunday. Following that, Chris Siebert will guide High-Intensity Training at 6:00 PM, with the day’s sessions wrapping up at 7:00 PM with yoga led by Jürgen Feigl. On June 7 and July 19, participants can also take part in bioelectrical impedance analysis (BIA) measurements to track their progress.
Burgweinting’s *Burgweinting Goes Fit* will continue its daily sessions from **June 11 to July 30** at **Aubach Park**. If rain disrupts outdoor plans, activities will shift indoors to **RT Hall, the multi-purpose hall, or Otto Schwerdt Middle School**. The entire program will close with a **small awards ceremony on July 26**, recognising participants who showed the most improvement.
The 2026 edition of Regensburg Goes Fit builds on past success by adding new workouts and maintaining free access. With structured sessions, weather backup plans, and progress tracking, the program aims to encourage fitness across the city.
