Paris has launched a first-of-its-kind medical centre dedicated entirely to diabetes care. Called Diabet' hub, the facility brings together specialists, treatments, and long-term support under one roof. Its goal is to simplify fragmented care and reduce delays for patients needing follow-up appointments.

The 428-square-metre centre, founded by Dr. Eliott Hergat, houses 16 consultation rooms and a space for therapeutic education. It offers access to GPs, diabetologists, cardiologists, psychologists, and paramedical professionals. This integrated approach aims to improve coordination between specialists and speed up patient care.

Diabet' hub expects to serve between 10,000 and 15,000 diabetes patients each year, handling around 280 consultations daily. Plans are already in place to expand its services, including a specialised unit for mothers and children with diabetes, set to open in 2026.

While currently the only location of its kind in Europe, the hub intends to grow beyond Paris. Future expansions will adapt the model to local medical and regulatory requirements, both nationally and internationally.

The new centre marks a shift in diabetes symptoms management by centralising multiple services in one location. With a focus on efficiency and patient support, it aims to streamline treatment for thousands of diabetes patients each year. Further growth is planned, including a dedicated unit for maternal and paediatric diabetes care by 2026.
