Pampanga's ₱50M diagnostic hub to open in Lubao by July 2023
The provincial government of Pampanga is set to open a new ₱50-million diagnostic building in Lubao by July 2023. Governor Lilia Pineda made the announcement during a recent medical mission that served over a thousand residents. The facility aims to boost early disease detection and preventive care under the Alagang Nanay Preventive Healthcare Program. The upcoming diagnostic centre will provide a range of free laboratory services to residents of Pampanga’s second district. Tests available will include blood chemistry, X-rays, 2D echocardiograms, mammograms, CT scans, and ultrasounds.
Governor Pineda revealed the project while overseeing a medical mission that assisted 1,156 people. Beneficiaries received free consultations, essential medicines, and food packs as part of the provincial government’s outreach efforts. The new building forms a key part of the *Alagang Nanay Preventive Healthcare Program*, which encourages regular checkups and early diagnosis. Its launch in Lubao will expand access to critical medical services for local communities.
Once operational, the facility will offer specialised diagnostic tests at no cost to eligible residents. The project reflects the province’s push to improve healthcare accessibility and reduce late-stage disease cases. Construction and equipment for the ₱50-million centre are on track for completion by mid-2023.
