Moscow's Technopolis Launches Production of Drug for 13 Types of Cancer
The new medication will help patients with melanoma, lung cancer, and other life-threatening diseases by stimulating the immune system to recognize and destroy cancer cells, TASS reports, citing Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.
According to the mayor, the drug is being produced under an offset contract with the city, ensuring stable supplies and greater access to cutting-edge therapy for Moscow residents.
One of Russia's largest biotech plants is handling production. The facility has already mastered the manufacture of treatments for leukemia, lymphoma, and rheumatoid arthritis.
The new drug has been included in the Russian Health Ministry's clinical guidelines and listed among essential medicines. Deliveries to Moscow clinics are expected to begin shortly.
