Mel Robbins Unveils Pure Genius Protein Shot at Target Stores Nationwide
Mel Robbins has helped millions of followers build confidence with her 'Let Them Theory' (and bestselling book of the same name) and now, the motivational speaker and podcast host is hoping to help people build up their health as well. Robbins has launched Pure Genius Protein, a single-serving protein shot designed to make it easier for people to consume protein on the go. First unveiled in January, the brand is now available to purchase at Target stores nationwide and online at Target.com. Available in travel-sized 3.38 oz. bottles, Pure Genius Protein offers 23 grams of protein in three flavors: Strawberry Guava, Blueberry Lemonade and Pineapple. Each shot is 100 calories with zero sugar and no artificial flavors, dyes, or sweeteners. Robbins says her pivot from CEOs to CPGs isn't completely out of left field, explaining that her mission all along has been to help people feel good about themselves. The 'Mel Robbins Podcast' host adds that after years of hearing medical experts on her show 'emphasize the critical role protein plays in strength, healthy aging, hormone balance, energy and weight loss,' she set out to create a product that would make it easy for people to consume their suggested protein intake each day. 'This isn't about chasing a trend,' Robbins said in a press release promoting the brand launch. 'It's about making it easier for people to prioritize their health, particularly women. If you're busy taking care of everyone else, you're probably not doing the best job taking care of yourself.' Though she is not a medical professional herself (the 57-year-old is a lawyer by trade), Robbins says she developed Pure Genius Protein with a team of 'leading medical, scientific and nutritional experts.' And materials for the brand note that the author is 'renowned for turning research into simple, practical tools people use immediately. Pure Genius Protein,' it posits, is 'built with the same philosophy: simple, science-backed and helpful.' The Target expansion comes just four months after Pure Genius Protein officially launched. The brand says it has since hit a million dollars in sales, with the Target partnership reinforcing the brand's 'position as a standout in the functional beverage space.' 'My mission with Pure Genius Protein is to make it easier for everyone to live a healthier life, and what excites me most about having the product in Target is the accessibility,' she says. 'I'm so thrilled that it's now available to millions of people in a place they already love to shop. This is a huge step for our brand in bringing better-for-you options to more people nationwide.' Robbins adds that she hopes her new protein shots will have the same lasting impact as her books. 'Pure Genius Protein makes it easier for people to take care of themselves and protect their future,' she says.
