Maxicare Prima Launches Affordable Prepaid Healthcare Plans for Filipino Families

Maxicare has launched Prima, a new range of prepaid healthcare cards and e-vouchers. The service aims to make medical care more flexible and accessible for families. With different plans available, the company hopes to address common barriers to healthcare in the Philippines. A 2022 survey revealed that over half of Filipino women aged 15 to 49 faced difficulties accessing healthcare. The biggest issue, reported by 42%, was finding money for treatment. Maxicare Prima now offers solutions to ease these financial burdens.

The basic plan, Prima Consult, costs ₱999 per year. It includes unlimited doctor visits at Maxicare Clinics, one Annual Physical Exam, and Personal Accident Protection. For ₱9,999 annually, Prima Access adds coverage for select laboratory tests and diagnostics. The most comprehensive option, Prima Elite, is priced at ₱19,999 per year. It provides unlimited access to select laboratory procedures and diagnostic tests. Expecting mothers can also choose Prima for Moms, a full prenatal care package. The first trimester costs ₱7,999, while the second and third are ₱4,499 each, totalling ₱16,499 for all three. Maxicare Prima promotes these plans as practical gifts for Mother’s Day. The company highlights their potential to save time and reduce stress for families needing reliable healthcare.

The new Prima plans target key barriers to medical access, particularly financial constraints. With options ranging from ₱999 to ₱19,999, families can select coverage based on their needs. The service also encourages healthcare gifting as a meaningful way to support loved ones.
