Man drives to police station while high on drugs in Germany
A 29-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman from Zetel arrived at Varel police station on the evening of Tuesday, March 24, 2026. Officers quickly discovered the man had been driving under the influence of drugs before reaching the station. The pair arrived at the police station just after dark. During routine checks, officers noticed signs that the man had been using narcotics. A preliminary drug test confirmed the presence of THC in his system.
A blood sample was taken for further analysis. Authorities established that he had driven the car to the station while impaired. As a result, police immediately banned him from continuing to drive.
The incident led to an immediate driving prohibition for the 29-year-old. Further investigation will depend on the results of the blood test. Police have not released additional details about the woman involved.
