Jezkazgan's new creativity hub opens doors for 600 children daily
A new creativity hub for children has opened in Jezkazgan, offering free after-school programmes in a wide range of activities. The Shabyt Children’s Creativity Center, unveiled on June 1, was made possible with support from the Bulat Utemuratov Foundation. The facility aims to provide learning and play opportunities for up to 600 youngsters each day.
In separate developments, two more community projects were completed in the region. A modern feldsher-obstetric clinic began operations in Kengir on May 30, while an outdoor calisthenics park was inaugurated in Koskol.
The Shabyt Children’s Creativity Center covers over 2,600 square meters and is designed for inclusivity. Its barrier-free layout ensures access for all children, while the grounds include sports facilities and playgrounds. Inside, dedicated spaces support classes in art, pottery, early childhood development, martial arts, and STEM subjects. Free to attend, the centre can host 250 children at once, with a rotating schedule allowing around 600 to participate daily.
Meanwhile, Kengir’s new feldsher-obstetric station opened its doors on May 30. Funded by 416.9 million tenge from recovered assets, the clinic specialises in maternal and child health. Modern equipment and a focus on preventive care will serve local residents. In Koskol, an outdoor calisthenics park is now available for public use. The fully equipped space encourages regular physical activity for all ages.
The Shabyt Children’s Creativity Center will provide structured learning and recreation for hundreds of children in Jezkazgan. The new clinic in Kengir and the calisthenics park in Koskol further expand community services in the region. All three projects aim to improve local access to education, healthcare, and fitness.
