Halle Hospital Hosts Interactive Children's Safety Day on June 10
St. Elisabeth and St. Barbara Hospital in Halle (Saale) is preparing for its annual Children’s Safety Day. The event, scheduled for Wednesday, June 10, 2026, will run from 4:00 to 6:00 PM at the hospital on Mauerstraße 5. Families with young children are invited to explore safety, health, and prevention through hands-on activities and demonstrations. The afternoon will feature a range of interactive stations designed for kindergarten and elementary school children. Topics include poisoning prevention, protection against viruses and bacteria, and digital safety. A virtual kitchen tour will also offer a child’s-eye view of potential hazards at home.
Emergency services will showcase their work with live demonstrations. The DLRG canine rescue team, an ASB ambulance, and the Lieskau Volunteer Fire Department’s youth fire brigade will take part. Children can even test their mobility skills in a wheelchair rally. Adding to the fun, the hospital’s mascot, Fakuta, will be on hand to welcome visitors. The event aims to educate while keeping the atmosphere engaging for young attendees.
The Children’s Safety Day is free and open to all families. Organisers hope the mix of practical advice, emergency demonstrations, and interactive activities will help children learn important safety lessons. The event wraps up at 6:00 PM, with plenty of time for questions and exploration.
