Gratitude Gala raises £24,000 for Manchester's new surgical wing
Regional Medical Center’s annual Gratitude Gala brought in £24,000 for a major hospital upgrade. The event took place on April 17th at Rustic Creek in Hopkinton. Funds will help build a new 18,400 square foot surgical wing in Manchester.
The gala’s success was celebrated by Valerie Lindsay, the centre’s Volunteer Services and Fund Development Manager. She thanked donors, sponsors, staff and volunteers for their contributions. The money raised will go towards a state-of-the-art surgical addition.
The new wing will include larger pre-op and post-op areas to improve patient privacy and recovery. Spacious surgical suites will meet modern best-practice standards. Operating rooms will also be designed to fit robotic systems and advanced medical equipment. The infrastructure is built to support the latest life-saving technology. Community members can still contribute online at regmedctr.org/donate by selecting 'Surgical Services, Addition'. Donations can also be mailed to Regional Medical Center, PO Box 359, Manchester, IA 52057.
The expanded surgical wing will provide more space for patient care and cutting-edge procedures. With £24,000 raised, the project moves closer to completion. Further donations will help ensure the facility meets the community’s growing medical needs.
