Gorodetsky Sanatorium joins Russia's Labor Productivity initiative to modernize care

Gorodetsky Sanatorium has become the first healthcare provider in the Nizhny Novgorod region to take part in the federal Labor Productivity project. The facility, known for treating musculoskeletal and neurological conditions, is now the 319th organisation in the area to join the initiative. Staff will soon receive training to improve efficiency and working conditions. The move follows the launch of the Effective and Competitive Economy national project, introduced under Russian President Vladimir Putin. This broader programme targets nine key development goals, with Labor Productivity as one of its federal projects.

The Regional Competence Center (RCC) will lead the changes at Gorodetsky Sanatorium. Over the next six months, its specialists will work on-site to assess workflows, pinpoint inefficiencies, and suggest improvements. A pilot process will be selected for testing new methods. Employees will also learn lean manufacturing techniques to streamline daily operations. The sanatorium, which uses natural therapies for occupational and chronic illnesses, aims to enhance both staff productivity and patient care standards. Other organisations interested in the project can apply through the official platform at [produktivnost.rf](https://производительность.рф).

The sanatorium’s participation marks a step toward modernising healthcare services in the region. RCC experts will focus on practical solutions to reduce waste and optimise resources. If successful, the changes could serve as a model for other medical facilities.
