Caring for Loved Ones with Dementia: A Responsible and Demanding Task

Free dementia care course launches next month in Süchteln for family caregivers

Supporting a family member with dementia requires both specialized care expertise and deep empathy for those in need. Angelika Kamphausen understands the challenges involved. As a qualified nurse in the geriatrics department of St. Irmgardis Hospital in Süchteln, she has provided hands-on care for countless dementia patients and knows what truly matters. In her free course, "Caring for People with Dementia," beginning on Tuesday, April 14, she shares practical advice and invites participants to exchange experiences.

"I want to provide useful knowledge about dementia, explain what happens to a person when they develop the condition, and show family caregivers how they can help," says Kamphausen.

The course consists of four sessions. After the first meeting on Tuesday, April 14, subsequent classes will be held on April 21, April 28, and May 5—all on Tuesdays.

For further details and exact times, interested participants can register by phone at 0174 / 7346257.
