A discussion on healthy living took place at the Pushkin Regional Scientific Library in Magadan on June 5. Anna Zhukova, a sports expert and lecturer with the Znanie Society, led the session as part of the group’s annual summer wellness campaigns. Zhukova covered key principles of a healthy lifestyle, describing it as a system of simple, effective habits. She highlighted balanced nutrition, regular exercise, and quality sleep as essential components. The lecturer also debunked common myths, including the idea that people must drink four litres of water daily.
The event was part of broader campaigns organised by the Znanie Society, which include lectures, quizzes, and workshops in children’s camps nationwide. Topics ranged from career guidance and patriotism to ecology, digital literacy, and financial awareness. Modern approaches to hygiene, stress reduction, and managing screen time were also discussed. Zhukova advised the audience to introduce healthy changes gradually, set clear goals, and monitor their progress. She referenced Russia’s national project *Long and Active Life*, launched on January 1, 2025. The initiative aims to raise life expectancy to 78 years by 2030. The summer campaigns will also feature special events tied to national dates, such as Russia Day, the Day of Family, Love, and Faithfulness, and Flag Day.
The session in Magadan was one of many planned across the country this summer. The Znanie Society continues to promote health education through interactive programmes. Future events will address science, culture, and technology alongside wellness themes.
