dm-drogerie markt has recalled its dmBio Dried Tomato & Feta Gourmet Spread due to undeclared cashews in some jars. The issue affects only products with a best-before date of June 4, 2027, and poses a risk to customers with cashew allergies.
The problem occurred when certain jars of the vegan spread were mistakenly filled with Cashew Cream Spread with Dried Tomato & Pine Nuts instead. While the feta-tomato product is cashew-free, the mispackaged version contains cashews, a known allergen not listed on the label.
The affected jars can be identified by their Nabio lid. Customers who have purchased this batch are advised not to consume the product if they have a cashew allergy. Instead, they should return it to any dm store for a refund.
The recall does not affect other batches or products. dm has confirmed that the spread remains safe for those without cashew allergies.
The company has taken action to remove the mislabelled jars from shelves. Affected customers can return the product to any dm outlet for a full refund. No other best-before dates or varieties are impacted by this recall.
