A two-day medical camp for teachers at Dhaka University's Faculty of Arts began with free health check-ups on its opening day. The event, held at the Shaheed Mofazzal Haider Chowdhury conference room, drew 158 faculty members seeking medical advice and examinations. Organisers confirmed strong participation from the start.

The camp received support from the Popular Diagnostic Centre, which assisted in providing medical services. Key university figures attended, including vice-chancellor Professor Niaz Ahmed Khan and pro-vice chancellor (administration) Professor Saima Haque Bidisha. Treasurer Professor M Jahangir Alam Chowdhury also visited the event.

Former dean Professor Sadrul Amin was present alongside current arts faculty dean Professor Mohammad Siddiqur Rahman Khan. Medical camp coordinator Professor MA Kausar oversaw the proceedings, ensuring smooth operations.

On the final day, specialist doctors will offer consultations and prescriptions to address the teachers' health concerns. The camp aims to provide thorough medical support to all participating faculty members.

The initiative saw 158 teachers from the arts faculty receive free health assessments over two days. Expert doctors will continue offering guidance until the camp concludes. University officials have highlighted the importance of such programmes for staff wellbeing.
