Buchloe's newest firefighters earn crew leader ranks after intense training
After rigorous training in both theory and practice, ten members of the Buchloe Fire Department have successfully completed their modular crew training, earning the qualification of crew leader (Truppführer).
The centerpiece of the examination was a demanding emergency drill, peppered with minor challenges designed to test the knowledge and full attention of the aspiring crew leaders. Skills assessed included knot-tying, deploying an extension ladder, holding and restraining techniques, hose management, hazardous material identification, and traffic control—all simulated in a mock fire at an auto repair shop. The candidates also excelled in the written exam, passing with virtually no errors.
Examiners, including District Fire Inspector Georg Trautwein, District Fire Chief and Commander Thomas Ogiermann, and Deputy Commander Timo Engstle, publicly commended all participants during the certificate presentation, praising their outstanding training and encouraging them to continue their professional development. Following the ceremony, the town of Buchloe hosted a celebratory dinner for the new graduates.
The newly qualified crew leaders are Antonia Haug, Maximilian Haug, Sophia Hartig, Jonas Simon, Adrian Keiser, Johannes Kempf, Emil Mrozowski, Niklas Schmid, Birgit Turba, and Paul Turba.
